Hawk Walks
If you are looking for a taste of falconry and don't want to break the bank the centre offers Hawk walks. Lasting about one hour this is a great way to get some hands on experience.
The Walk
During a hawk walk you will be given one of the centres Harris Hawks to carry into local woodland surrounding the centre. Once in the woods and accompanied by a fully trained falconer (that's usually me, Gary Swainson) we will allow the hawk to follow on from tree to tree returning periodically to the gloved fist for a reward. A hawk walk allows you to observe these amazing birds as they manoeuvre between tightly packed trees without ever colliding.
Requirements and Costs
Price for one person is £45.00
Price for two people is £80.00
Additional Participants can be added for £40.00
Spectators can be added (£10 per session) at checkout
Minimum age unaccompanied is 14
Accompanied no minimum age
In poor weather wellies are a good idea
